Newly released bodycam footage has revealed that a responding paramedic disputed claims about the CPR performed on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan before emergency services arrived at his home.
The footage, obtained by the Law & Crime Network, provides additional details surrounding Hogan’s final moments following his death on July 24, 2025.
Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died aged 71 at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Authorities later concluded he died from cardiac arrest, with Clearwater Police closing the investigation after determining his death was from natural causes and finding no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
According to the bodycam footage, occupational therapist Justin McCamey described finding Hogan unresponsive before he and Hogan’s wife called 911 and began attempting to help him.
“No rise and fall of the chest. Try to get pulse. Try to get blood pressure. Nothing. She came in. Realized it together. Really called 911. Down to the floor. He started compressions. And that’s basically he wasn’t breathing,” McCamey said.
“When I saw it, I didn’t believe it because he’s such a big guy. So, getting a pulse, getting all that stuff is sometimes difficult.”
Parademic Disputes Claims That Proper CPR Was Performed On Hulk Hogan Prior To Their Arrival
However, a responding paramedic disputed the claim that CPR had been performed for approximately eight minutes before emergency crews arrived.
“When I walked into the room, he was on the floor next to a chair. The therapist, the guy in the room with the scrubs, said he was doing CPR for eight minutes. He was not doing CPR for eight minutes. Because when I started CPR, I’m the one that broke his ribs,” the paramedic said.
“If he was doing CPR, he was doing poor CPR.”
The paramedic added that emergency responders had initially expected to move Hulk Hogan from a chair to the floor after receiving information over the radio, but found him already lying on the ground when they arrived.
Despite the differing accounts regarding the timeline of CPR, the official findings surrounding Hogan’s death remain unchanged. Authorities ruled his death was the result of natural causes, while a private autopsy commissioned by Hogan’s family reportedly reached the same conclusion.
