AJ Lee‘s future in WWE remains uncertain following her absence from television since WrestleMania 42.
The former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion has not appeared on WWE programming since losing the title to Becky Lynch on Night One of WrestleMania 42, prompting speculation about when fans might see her back in the ring.

For now, there is no confirmed timetable for Lee’s return, but her comments following WrestleMania suggested she does not view her latest WWE appearance as a final farewell.
AJ Lee’s Return To WWE After 10 Years Away
AJ Lee’s return to WWE in September 2025 was one of the biggest surprises in recent years. After a decade away from the ring, she made her long-awaited comeback and quickly found herself involved in a high-profile rivalry with Becky Lynch.
Following an appearance in the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, Lee stepped away from television before resurfacing earlier this year. Her return eventually led to a championship victory over Lynch at Elimination Chamber, where she captured the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Despite the success of her comeback, Lee worked a limited schedule and wrestled only five matches following her return to WWE competition.
Although her championship reign was brief, it added another accolade to her decorated career and gave fans an opportunity to see her compete again after spending years away from professional wrestling.
