New details have come to light on Joe Hendry‘s WWE contract regarding his salary.
In a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Joe Hendry and his future in WWE and NXT and shared what kind of salary range he is on, stating that he is being paid above the main roster minimum amount despite being featured mainly in NXT. Ross wrote:
“Well, he’s on a main roster level deal from what I understand. By that, I mean making above the main roster minimum.”
Main roster minimum salaries are reportedly somewhere between $300,000 and $400,000 per year without any bonuses or merchandise royalties, meaning that if this information is correct, Hendry is likely one of, if not the, highest paid NXT stars at the moment.
This likely suggests that WWE will likely want to bring Hendry up to the main roster for more matches, and probably be called up to the main roster full-time at some point in the future. It is not currently known how long Hendry has signed on for, but NXT deals are usually for one to three years, whereas main roster deals are typically three to five years and given that Hendry is likely making main roster money, it stands to reason that he will be on a main roster-length deal.
What Is Expected Of Joe Hendry In NXT?
Writing about WWE’s expectations of Joe Hendry in NXT, Sapp stated that they will likely call up either Ricky Saints or Ethan Page to the main roster, and that Hendry will become NXT’s top guy.
“I think with him coming in, we’re likely to see a Ricky Saints or Ethan Page move up, and then Hendry is the next guy up on NXT with familiarity outside WWE.”
