More information has surfaced about the arrest of former UFC Star Anthony Smith.
Smith is facing charges of terroristic threats, false imprisonment and domestic violence causing serious bodily injury.
Terroristic threat and 1st degree false imprisonment carry a maximum of three years in prison, plus fines and post-release supervision and domestic violence charge can result in a maximum of 20 years in prison.
WBALTV 11 reports that according to police, Smith had an altercation at a concert Sunday night and was kicked out of the show.
They say Smith threatened to kill his wife Mikhala if she didn’t get into a car.
“He had to push her into the car by force to get her there. She did ultimately exit the car at one point. He threatened to kill her again if she did not get in the car,” prosecutors told WBALTV 11.
Back at the family home, it is alleged that Mikhala had to leap out of the way when Smith attempted to run her over with the car. Neighbours assisted Mikhala and their children escape.
Later, there were gunshots in the home as Smith claimed he would never be arrested.
Smith’s bond has been set at $500,000. As part of his bail conditions Smith cannot leave the state or have any contact with his wife.
Smith will be back in court on August 17th.
