Natalya has revealed that she and The Bella Twins remain determined to bring Total Divas back, with WWE President Nick Khan reportedly willing to listen to their ideas for a potential revival.
The WWE veteran appeared on the Battleground Podcast, where she explained that she, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella have continued campaigning for the reality series to return years after its final season.
“The Bella Twins and myself have never ever stopped fighting for Total Divas to come back. We want it back more than anything, and we are not taking our foot off the gas on it, so to speak.”
Natalya believes the influence of Total Divas can still be seen among WWE’s current generation of female talent, naming Blake Monroe, Izzi Dame, Bianca Belair and Lash Legend among those who have spoken about being inspired by the show.
“So many women superstars in WWE that are coming in, like Blake Monroe, Izzi Dame, Bianca Belair, Lash Legend, they’re all saying we want to get into WWE because we love that show.”
Natalya appeared throughout all nine seasons of Total Divas, making her the only cast member who was part of the entire run.
“So, you see so many women inspired by Total Divas and what we did on that show. I was lucky enough and fortunate enough to be on that show for all nine seasons. I was the only cast member who was never not on the show, because I was full of a lot of drama too. It’s a show that is extremely special to me, and like I said, The Bellas and I are not taking our foot off the gas as we want the show to happen.”
Natalya Stated That A New Total Divas Season Has Not Been Agreed Upon Despite Enthusiasm
Despite their enthusiasm, Natalya stressed that a revival has not been agreed. However, she said Nick Khan has been receptive to hearing ideas from WWE talent.
“I feel that powers that be, especially, you know, Nick Khan, because he’s so supportive of us and he’s so collaborative with us. He listens to us. It’s great having a boss that’s just like, okay, you guys wanna do something? How is it gonna be good? What are we gonna do? Again, I’m not saying we’re there yet, but Nick is somebody, like I said, we got ideas, he’s willing to listen. We’re waiting for the opportunity. We keep putting it out into the universe.”
Total Divas aired on E! for nine seasons between 2013 and December 2019, following the professional and personal lives of WWE stars including Natalya, Nikki and Brie Bella, Naomi, Eva Marie, Cameron and JoJo.
Natalya previously discussed wanting to spearhead a potential reboot and work behind the scenes as well as appear on screen. The Bellas have also publicly backed a revival, with Nikki saying they would return immediately if WWE approached them.
The calls for a comeback come as WWE continues producing behind-the-scenes programming, including Unreal. Nikki has previously distinguished the two concepts by describing Total Divas as a docu-soap and Unreal as a documentary-based series, arguing that there is room for both formats.
For now, there is no confirmation that Total Divas will return, but Natalya and The Bellas remain committed to pitching the idea to WWE.
