More details have come out regarding the arrest yesterday of Ludwig Kaiser, El Grand Americano (Marcel Barthel). Kaiser has been charged with battery by Florida police.
According to a police report, they were called to an apartment in Orange County, Florida, in the evening. They were responding to reports of an altercation.
Police stated the reporting party (Richard Reap) told the officers that Kaiser, along with a woman, were acting in an “uncontrollably intimate” manner in an elevator.
As he got off the elevator, Reap says he told the couple to “please have some manners”.
Reap claims Kaiser immediately attacked him, punching him, throwing him on the ground and threatening him, all of this caught on the building’s security cameras.
According to police, Reap has scrapes and bruises when he spoke to them. Reap identified Kaiser in a police line-up as his attacker after Kaiser had turned himself into police.
Kaiser was later released on bail to await a hearing on the battery charge.
WWE has not made any public comment on the situation.
