MJF is scheduled to appear on the next episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW confirmed via Twitter on Sunday that the reigning World Champion will be live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, continuing the build towards his upcoming title defence against Bandido. The company hyped the appearance on social media, pointing to the growing list of challengers circling the champion.
“What will MJF say after being confronted by Hangman, Kenny Omega, Swerve, Samoa Joe & Brodido? MJF defends the title vs @BandidoWrestler NEXT WEEK,1/14!” AEW wrote.
He opened last week’s episode, boasting about his World Championship victory at Worlds End before being interrupted remotely by Kenny Omega. Omega told the champion that while he may have work to do before earning another title opportunity, their paths would inevitably cross again.
“Hangman” Adam Page, Swerve Strickland, and former champion Samoa Joe also made their presence felt, each signalling interest in MJF’s title. The segment made it clear that the World Champion has no shortage of challengers waiting in the wings as he prepares to face Bandido.
How Long Has MJF Been With AEW?
MJF has been with AEW since the company’s launch in 2019. He was one of the promotion’s original signings and quickly established himself as a central figure on television, first as Cody Rhodes’ associate before branching out on his own. Over the years, he has become one of AEW’s most prominent stars, holding multiple championships and serving as a key part of the company’s main event scene.
