MJF has slammed Busted Open Radio for becoming, in his words, “a propaganda machine for one company”.
A guest on the Sports Media Podcast, MJF explained that he used to be a big fan of the show, was even included in the show’s opening…but not any longer.
“I am no longer part of the intro because unfortunately it is now a propaganda machine for one company and that’s it,” he said.
Busted Open Radio has become part of the WWE Radio channel on SiriusXM and in doing so kept some hosts and fired others who have been critical of WWE in the past or are part of AEW like Thunder Rosa.
“Yeah. It’s not real journalism,” continued MJF. “You’re not going to spit in my f—–g face and tell me it’s raining. You’re not going tell me you’re WWE Radio but we’re still going call it right down the line. That’s not a thing.”
Busted Open Radio has already shifted away from AEW, other promotions, their content focusing totally on the WWE. MJF isn’t surprised.
“Are you going to hear them talk about AEW? Probably not. Are you going to hear them talk about AEW ever again outside of saying, ‘AEW bad’? Probably not. Will they talk about MJF singularly? Probably. I’m too big of a deal to f—–g ignore,” he said.
MJF was also critical of Dave LaGreca, the founder and owner of the show.
“He grabbed that bag with both hands from WWE. He said, ‘Thank you, sir.’ And now it’s WWE Radio,” he said.
