A wrestling fan who went missing during WrestleMania 42 weekend has been found dead in Las Vegas.
According to local authorities and reported by the Las Vegas Review Journal, 43-year-old Mark Izard, from the United Kingdom, died on April 18. The cause and manner of death have not yet been confirmed. Izard was last seen on April 17, leaving WWE SmackDown at the T-Mobile Arena. He had attended multiple WrestleMania 42 week events, including a signing appearance with Natalya on April 16, where he was last photographed.
His disappearance prompted concern online after a missing poster circulated on social media, gaining traction with fans and being shared by Natalya.
A statement shared online read:
“We’re very sad by this outcome… my heart breaks for his family. He came to the USA to have a good time at WrestleMania and sadly passed away.”
The incident has cast a sombre note over what is typically one of the biggest weekends on the wrestling calendar.
Slam Wrestling offers our condolences to the friends and family of Mark Izard.
