WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley made a surprise appearance for OVW this week, months after parting ways with WWE.
Mick Foley had initially been advertised for a meet-and-greet at OVW Rise, but later became physically involved in the main event. He served as special guest referee for a Louisville Street Fight between Donovan Cecil and Jack Vaughn.
The closing moments of the match featured a familiar sight: Foley brought back Mr. Socko, who played a role in Cecil securing the victory.
When Did Mick Foley Retire From Wrestling?
Mick Foley, 60, has been retired from active in-ring competition for several years, with his last official WWE match coming in the 2012 Royal Rumble. In addition to his wrestling career, he has remained active through writing and various media appearances.
Foley spoke about a possible final match last year and said in 2024 that he had begun training to work towards it. However, in April 2024, Foley said that after having some health concerns relating to a possible concussion, he and his doctors decided against the idea of him stepping into the ring one more time.
