Mercedes Mone has addressed the possibility of returning to WWE, revealing the one scenario in which she sees herself going back to the company.
The former Sasha Banksresponded to a fan on Instagram after being asked when she would return to WWE. Mercedes Mone replied that she would return when the company inducts her into the WWE Hall of Fame.
While her response appeared to be made in jest, it is the latest time the former WWE Women’s Champion has commented on the prospect of returning to the promotion she left in 2022.
Since departing WWE, Mone has enjoyed success across multiple promotions, establishing herself as one of the biggest names outside the company. Alongside her current run in AEW, she has also competed for NJPW and various independent promotions, continuing to raise her profile worldwide.
Mercedes Mone Recently Won The 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament
The 34-year-old recently added another accolade to her career by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament for the second consecutive year at AEW Forbidden Door. The victory made her the first two-time winner of the tournament and secured her an AEW Women’s World Championship match at All In.
Although Mercedes Mone’s future beyond AEW remains unknown, she continues to enjoy one of the most successful runs of her career outside WWE. For now, her latest comments suggest that any return to the company is something she associates with a future WWE Hall of Fame induction rather than an in-ring comeback.
