Mercedes Mone was left beaten and covered in cake in the middle of the ring after an ambush during her 12 title celebration on last night’s AEW Dynamite.
Mercedes Mone’s 12 championship celebration last night on Dynamite started as strangely as it ended. The segment opened with the ring adorned with balloons, streamers, and a massive cake on a table in the middle of the ring. Renee Paquette was already in the ring to host the celebration, but before Mone made her way to the ring, a puppet that looked similar to Mone appeared from underneath the cake table.

The puppet imitated Mone for a short while before the real Mone stormed to the ring, slammed the puppet’s face into the cake and pulled Harley Cameron, who was operating the puppet, from underneath the table. But before Mone could get her revenge on Cameron for her mockery, Kris Statlander emerged from underneath the table and slammed Mone’s face into the cake with an electric chair facebuster, before delivering a uranage slam to Mone through the table.
.@MercedesVarnado may think this party is all about her, but @CallMeKrisStat and @HarleyCameron_ have other plans!
