Max Caster debuted at Bound for Glory last night. Today, TNA has distanced themselves from him.
Caster made his debut taking on Moose at the event. Caster made his entrance rapping:
“Platinum on the mic and I’m bound for the glory, bro. I’m putting Moose on his knees like a glory hole. And it’s the firing squad. I drop bombs. You don’t even have to fly to Riyadh. I should call you a bitch. You’re a grown ass man and you talk with a lisp. And when it’s all said, Platinum shining brighter than that bald head.”
The reference to the attack on Riyadh by the Houthis, an Iran-backed armed movement based in Yemen. At least 14 people were killed and more than 320 injured in the two major attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport over the weekend.
Due to the backlash the rap has received TNA has released this statement to PWInsider.com:
“During Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people.
Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize.
We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again.
Max Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA.”
