Logan Paul has responded to speculation that he was the masked attacker who took out Bron Breakker during the Men’s Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia.
The rumours began after Breakker was ambushed during his entrance as the number two participant in the Royal Rumble. A hooded figure dressed in black stomped on the former NXT Champion before disappearing, leaving Breakker to be eliminated by Oba Femi in just 10 seconds. Fan footage appeared to show the attacker with light-coloured facial hair, leading some to suggest it could have been Logan Paul or even his brother Jake Paul.
Speaking on his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Paul dismissed the theory and mocked the online reaction.
“By the way, I’m not the masked man. I’m not the masked man, guys. I see the commentary online. I’m not the masked man. If I am, that’s a shock to me because I don’t remember doing that,” Paul said. “It’s probably Green Shirt Guy. Motherf***er couldn’t afford the seats on the other side, got priced out by the Saudis. He was on the opposite side, he was in the seats on the other side. Couldn’t get on TV this time, buddy.”
The mystery angle has drawn comparisons to a similar storyline at Survivor Series, when a masked individual assisted The Vision during WarGames. That attacker was later revealed to be Austin Theory.
For now, WWE has continued to tease that the culprit behind the Royal Rumble ambush could be Seth Rollins, despite Rollins not being medically cleared following surgery in October. The identity of the masked man remains unresolved as the story develops.
