Liv Morgan has responded to criticism over her current Women’s World Championship reign after fans pointed out that she reached 100 days as champion without making a single title defence.
The backlash began after Liv Morgan celebrated the milestone on social media by calling herself:
“the greatest women’s world champion of alllllllllllll time.”
Many fans quickly highlighted that she had yet to defend the championship during her reign. Appearing in a video shared by CJ Perry on Instagram, Morgan addressed the criticism directly and made it clear she was unfazed by the reaction.
“My 100th day as champion. Zero days defending. Because I’m that iconic, you don’t need to defend s**t.”
Rather than responding to the criticism with an explanation, Morgan embraced the talking point, insisting her status as champion speaks for itself despite not having defended the title.
Liv Morgan Is Set To Defend Her WWE Women’s World Title For The First Time In Over 100 Days At SummerSlam
Liv Morgan’s reign is now set to face its biggest test, as she is scheduled to make her first Women’s World Championship defence against Iyo Sky at SummerSlam.
Should Morgan retain the title, she will be able to silence some of her critics. However, if Iyo Sky ends her reign, the lack of title defences during Morgan’s first 100 days as champion is likely to remain a talking point.
