WWE Hall of Famer Lex Luger has addressed recent rumours about his health, assuring fans that he is doing well despite reports suggesting he had been hospitalised.
The speculation circulated online over the weekend, prompting Lex Luger to respond directly on Twitter.
“Hey, everybody. I was just made aware of this,” Luger wrote while referencing a headline claiming that a WWE legend had been hospitalised. “False news!! I’m doing great!! Weekend off relaxing at home, enjoying some hoops and my Buffalo Sabres hockey.”
Luger, 67, has faced significant health challenges over the years. In 2007, he suffered a spinal stroke that left him paralysed and reliant on a wheelchair.
Lex Luger’s Recent Health Improvements
In recent years, however, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion has made noticeable progress with his recovery. Thanks in part to rehabilitation work and training through DDP Yoga, Lex Luger has regained some strength and mobility and has occasionally been able to stand with assistance.
While dismissing the recent hospitalisation rumours, Luger said he has been spending the weekend relaxing at home while following his hometown Buffalo Sabres hockey team.
The Sabres are currently riding a six-game winning streak and were scheduled to face the Tampa Bay Lightning at KeyBank Center in Buffalo later that evening.
Although Luger confirmed he is in good health, he also expressed support for another wrestling veteran dealing with more serious medical issues.
Reports surfaced on Friday that former WCW and WWE star Konnan was hospitalised in San Diego after undergoing surgery to amputate one of his legs. His condition has reportedly been described as delicate, with concerns that the same complications could potentially affect his other leg.
Further updates on Konnan’s condition have not yet been released.
