Liv Morgan appears to have avoided a serious injury scare following a concerning moment during a WWE live event in England over the weekend.
The Women’s World Champion was in action at a house show in Birmingham as part of WWE’s European tour, defending her title in a Fatal 4-Way match against Iyo Sky, Lyra Valkyria, and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca.
Concern emerged late in the contest when Ruca came off the top rope with a crossbody and appeared to land awkwardly on Liv Morgan. The champion immediately showed signs of discomfort, leading fans to speculate that she may have suffered a knee injury.
Discussing the incident on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez suggested the impact may not have been as severe as it initially appeared.
While many fans believed Ruca had landed directly on Morgan’s knee, Meltzer noted that the contact seemed to occur closer to her foot.
Morgan went down following the spot, prompting an immediate check from the referee.
“The referee did raise the one fist, which signals that Liv was okay,” Meltzer said.
Although Morgan appeared to be favouring the leg afterwards, she was able to continue the match and complete her planned spots before retaining the championship.
“She was limping a little,” Meltzer added.
Liv Morgan Is Set To Face Iyo Sky In The Queen Of The Ring Finals At Night Of Champions
The injury scare comes at an important time for Liv Morgan, who is scheduled to face Iyo Sky in the Queen of the Ring final at Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Meltzer noted that Morgan’s appearance on Raw in London could provide a clearer indication of her condition, particularly if she continues to show signs of discomfort during her on-screen segment with Sky.
However, Morgan quickly moved to calm concerns after the event. Taking to social media, she informed fans that she was fine and already on her way to London for Raw.
You’re welcome Birmingham for blessing you with my presence tonight🤭🙏
