Lash Legend has reflected on her basketball background and revealed which WNBA star she believes could make an impact in WWE.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was asked which player she would recruit from basketball into wrestling. Legend pointed to Teaira McCowan, a dominant presence currently competing overseas after her time in the WNBA.
“We played at Mississippi State, and she’s just a stallion,” Legend said. “I feel like everybody would be scared of her… she’s for real strong, she’s not a lanky centre, she would come in here and really dominate.”
Lash Legend’s WNBA History
Lash Legend’s comments carry added weight given her own background in the sport. Before transitioning to WWE, she enjoyed a successful basketball career, playing at both Texas A&M and Mississippi State, earning first-team All-SEC honours. She was later selected in the 2019 WNBA Draft and had a brief stint with the Seattle Storm.
Since moving into professional wrestling, Legend has continued to build momentum, currently holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Nia Jax.
Her remarks highlight the ongoing crossover potential between elite athletes and WWE, with Legend suggesting that McCowan’s physical presence and athleticism could translate well to the ring.
