WWE provided a storyline injury update on LA Knight during yesterday’s episode of WWE Raw, following last week’s closing angle.
LA Knight was attacked twice at the end of the December 8 episode of Raw. During the main event against Logan Paul, Knight was taken out by a masked attacker, who was revealed on this week’s Raw to be Austin Theory. After the match, Knight was assaulted again backstage when Bronson Reed of The Vision hit a Tsunami on him on the roof of a car.
WWE announced on this week’s broadcast that Knight suffered a cracked sternum, along with other injuries, and will be out of action indefinitely as part of the storyline. Paul went on to defeat Knight in last week’s Raw main event, then picked up another victory this week by defeating Rey Mysterio, again with interference from Theory, whose involvement was finally revealed.
Despite Theory’s actions, he has not been officially established as a member of The Vision. Paul Heyman addressed the situation on Raw, stating that his group is willing to accept assistance from the masked man if their interests align, but maintained that The Vision is not formally aligned with Theory.
Knight’s injury update further advances the ongoing storyline involving Paul, The Vision and the newly unmasked Theory as WWE heads toward the new year.
How Many Titles Has LA Knight Won In WWE?
LA Knight has held two titles in WWE: the United States Title, which he has won on two occasions, and the Million Dollar Title. Knight’s first title reign came during his NXT days, where he won the Million Dollar Championship after Ted DiBiase reintroduced it on the June 8, 2021, episode of NXT. Knight won the title at the June 13 TakeOver: In Your House event, defeating Cameron Grimes in a Ladder match.
Knight won the United States Title for the first time on August 3, 2024, at SummerSlam, defeating Logan Paul for the belt. Knight then dropped it to Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series that same year, and won it back from Nakamura on the March 7, 2025, episode of SmackDown. Knight then lost the belt to Jacob Fatu at night one of WrestleMania 41 on April 19.
