Kyle Fletcher has reportedly avoided a serious injury scare after taping this week’s episode of AEW Collision.
According to Bryan Alvarez, Kyle Fletcher “appears to be fine” after concerns emerged during Thursday’s Collision taping at Viejas Arena in San Diego, California. Fletcher faced El Phantasmo during the taping, with several fans in attendance reporting that the former TNT Champion may have been injured during the match.
However, Alvarez later provided a positive update, reporting that he had been told Fletcher was not believed to have suffered a significant injury. Instead, the issue was reportedly due to dehydration.
Kyle Fletcher Has Been Featured Prominently In AEW Since His Return From Injury
The update comes during a busy stretch for Kyle Fletcher, who recently returned to action at AEW Double or Nothing following a spell on the sidelines. He also competed in the Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Fletcher is currently scheduled to challenge Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship on next Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, and Alvarez’s update indicates the match is still expected to go ahead.
