Kevin Nash has revealed that he has largely stopped watching WWE, with WrestleMania 42 leaving him with a “sour” feeling about the product.
Speaking on the latest episode of Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast, Nash was asked about the recent debate surrounding Roman Reigns and claims that the World Heavyweight Champion is overrated. However, the WWE Hall of Famer was unfamiliar with the discussion because he hasn’t been regularly following WWE for about two months.
“I’ve decided, like a couple of, maybe two months ago. Actually, WrestleMania put a really sour kind of twist on things for me, and I have not,” Nash said.
WrestleMania 42 took place in Las Vegas in April. Nash did not explain what specifically about the event caused him to stop watching WWE regularly. One notable exception to his break from the product is Raquel Rodriguez. Nash continues to watch Raquel Rodriguez’s segments, referring to her by the “Big Mami Cool” nickname inspired by his own Big Daddy Cool persona during his run as Diesel.
“Because you can pick up the episodes now on Netflix and watch. So I’ve been watching Big Mama Cool. I’ve been watching my girl. I watch her segments,” Nash said.

Kevin Nash said his lack of interest in regularly discussing WWE has become noticeable to people who follow his podcast.
“A friend of mine touched base with me today on my phone and texted me. I guess our lack of talking wrestling, I think, is starting to make people understand that we’re just not watching the product,” he said.
Co-host Steve Kaufman suggested that Nash was simply being open about WWE not holding his interest right now. However, Nash pushed back against that interpretation.
“It’s not that it doesn’t interest me. It’s just that it’s summer,” Nash said.
Nash, who lives on the water in Florida, explained that he would rather spend sunny summer days outdoors than inside watching television. He also pointed towards the increasingly negative nature of online wrestling discussion as another factor.
“Then it became all of a sudden this whole podcast wrestling thing became such a negative world,” Nash said, adding that “there’s so much negativity on a daily basis, just in our world alone.”
While WrestleMania 42 initially left Kevin Nash with a negative impression, his comments suggest his break from WWE was also influenced by how he chose to spend his time and the broader tone of online wrestling coverage.
The 67-year-old was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame individually in 2015 before receiving a second induction as a member of the nWo in 2020.
