Kevin Nash has expanded on his recent comments regarding WWE talent cuts, revealing that he personally knows wrestlers who accepted major pay reductions to remain with the company.
Speaking on an episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash discussed the backlash surrounding his previous remarks about WWE contracts and once again argued that wrestlers should eventually have union representation. Nash claimed he had spoken with people inside the business who informed him that talent had taken significant salary cuts following WWE roster changes under TKO.
“I know the people that took 50% cuts,” Nash said. “I know one of the guys, and when I found out what the person was making… even at 50%, he was making huge money.”
The WWE Hall of Famer admitted he was initially shocked by how much certain wrestlers were earning before their salaries were reduced.
Kevin Nash Defended TKO Chairman Ari Emanuel
Kevin Nash also addressed earlier criticism aimed at TKO management and specifically discussed his interactions with TKO Executive Chairman Ari Emanuel. According to Nash, Emanuel is the only TKO executive he has personally met and said he had always been treated respectfully during those interactions.
“He was such a gentleman,” Nash said. “I’ve never been treated better by anyone in management than the way he treated me.”
Nash clarified that he does not personally know the other TKO executives he previously referenced while discussing WWE releases and admitted that some of his frustration was directed at the broader situation surrounding talent cuts.
