The Judgment Day turned on Finn Balor during WWE Raw after Dominik Mysterio blamed him for losing the Intercontinental Championship to Penta, leading to a four-on-one attack involving JD McDonagh, Raquel Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the split had been planned for nearly a year, with WWE originally intending to run Balor vs. Mysterio at SummerSlam 2025 with Balor using his Demon persona before delaying the storyline while the faction remained popular.

AAA has announced a World Cruiserweight Championship match for the upcoming Rey de Reyes event, with Laredo Kid set to defend the title against Jack Cartwheel, Dragon Lee, and T.J. Perkins. Laredo Kid has held the championship since December 2024, while WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta is also scheduled to appear at the show to open the event and present the ceremonial sword to the Rey de Reyes tournament winner.
