John Cena claims he “greased the wheels” to get Logan Paul to sign on to WWE full-time.
Logan Paul first signed with WWE in 2022 on a limited multi-event contract. Since then, the YouTube star has been in high-profile matches against the likes of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Rey Mysterio, and reigned as the United States Champion for much of 2024.
Over the past few months, Paul has been seen more regularly on WWE TV as part of The Vision. He has also revealed on his vlog on January 8th that fans will be seeing a lot more of him going forward, as he has signed a long-term, full-time contract with the company.
“I actually just signed my official long-term contract with WWE. Seconds ago. We took espresso shots. I’m officially a full-timer now. All you people saying I’m a part-timer can shut your mouths. Feels good. Feels good to have a job. I would have been working doing WWE stuff this weekend, instead I’m here rescuing iguanas.
“I’m officially a full-timer. Your boy is going to be working. I’m excited to get the year started. 2026, I was to hit it hard. I want to become the best wrestler I can be. The best husband, father, and business partner I can be. I’m feeling so good about this year. I’m excited.”
At Clash In Paris in August, Logan Paul was defeated by John Cena as the 17-time World Champion headed towards retirement. During a recent appearance at Fan Expo New Orleans, Cena said he wanted to “get the best” out of Paul in the match, and added that he helped persuade him to join WWE full-time.
“I got to bet on somebody who I think has a bright future in this business in Logan Paul, and try to get the best out of him overseas in Paris, and maybe grease the wheels to convince him to finally be a full-time WWE employee, which he currently is.”
WWE Hall Of Famer Sees World Title In Logan Paul’s Future
Since his debut, many stars have praised Logan Paul for how well he has adapted to the world of pro wrestling. WWE Hall of Famer JBL went further, saying that he believes Paul is a future World Champion. The star is a “big fan” of Paul’s, both in the ring and behind the scenes, believing him to be “very nice and respectful.”
