John Cena has given his thanks to Boston, saying his last appearance in the city meant more than he can ever express.
The November 10th edition of WWE Raw was John Cena‘s last in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, before he hangs up his wrestling sneakers for good. To make the show even more special for the star, Cena captured the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career, finally becoming a Grand Slam and Triple Crown Champion in the process.
The following night, Cena took to social media to thank Boston for the unforgettable night, telling fans that it was thanks to them that his performances were meaningful.
“Thank you Boston. It meant so much to be able, for one last time, to be allowed an opportunity to do what I love, in a place I love, surrounded by those I love. Our performances are only meaningful if YOU the audience invest in us and decide they are. The smile on my face and awe in my eyes in this small clip is an honest show of grateful disbelief & appreciation for all you’ve ever invested in me. Last night meant more than I can ever express. Thank you Boston.”
