John Cena made an appearance on last night’s episode of WWE NXT Gold Rush to announce who will be competing in the Iron Survivor Challenge matches.
John Cena appeared on last night’s NXT Gold Rush special episode in a pre-recorded vignette on two occasions, where he announced the competitors in both the men’s and women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches for NXT Deadline on December 6, which takes place at the Boeing Center At Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
During last night’s show, Cena appeared in a pre-recorded promo after Fallon Henley and Zaria‘s WWE Women’s Speed Title match, and announced the entrants for the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at Deadline, with Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, Joe Hendry, Dion Lennox, and either Myles Borne or Trick Williams being selected. Borne and Williams had a match later that night to determine who would advance to the match, with Borne picking up the win.
Cena then appeared in another pre-recorded video after Kendal Grey and Lainey Reid‘s WWE Evolve Women’s Title match to announce that Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace, and Kendal Grey will be in the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match.
Why Played ‘Mini John Cena’ On Raw?
Dominik Mysterio appeared on Monday’s Raw to discuss his upcoming Survivor Series match with John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship, and during his promo, he said that Cena wouldn’t be on Raw in Oklahoma that night, but just as he said that, Cena’s iconic entrance music hit.
However, instead of the actual Cena, a little person dressed as Cena came out, performed Cena’s signature entrance, and grabbed a microphone to call Dominik the “worst Mysterio of all time.” This angered Mysterio, who then booted “Cena” and delivered a 619, followed by a frog splash to him.
The identity of the mini Cena was later confirmed to be a wrestler named Syko from Micro Wrestling Federation and Big Little Brawlers.
