According to Jimmy Hart, Hulk Hogan was devastated by the crowd’s reaction to him during his last appearance in the WWE.
Hogan and Hart appeared on stage during Raw’s premiere on Netflix back in January. Hogan was promoting his Real American Beer.
The crowd in Los Angeles booed him relentlessly that night.
On the podcast, Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, Jimmy Hart, who was one of Hogan’s closest friends, detailed how hurt Hogan was by it, although he understood it. Hogan believed it was because he was a prominent Republican who spoke about this support of Donald Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
“It’s kind of a mixed reaction but it’s a little bit more boos than anything. That devastated him and we got in the back and he said, ‘What do you think happened? I said, ‘Hulk, it’s simple — blue state, red state, Trump, Vance.’ I mean, really, I said, ‘I’m okay with it.’ He goes, ‘What do you think?’ I said, ‘I’m okay. I felt like I was managing the Hart Foundation against the British Bulldogs or the Killer Bees or somebody,” Hart said on the podcast. “That bothered him because of that and I said: “Well, surely people are going to realize what that was for.” So, the next week we’re in Texas and it’s all cheers, you know? That always bothered him. It sure did.”
Hart went on to say that he doesn’t support any party.
“I’m not a Democrat or a Republican, I’m just a jabroni. Hulk knew that. I didn’t go with him to the Republican convention or anything not because I wanted to hide or wasn’t for Trump or wasn’t for Biden or anybody. I’m just, like I said, a jabroni,” said Hart.
Although some blamed his politics for the reaction others believe is was also the fact that Hogan was outed using racist language and slurs in the past.
