Jim Ross has reflected on his time travelling aboard WWE’s former corporate jet following news that the aircraft has been put up for sale.
WWE has listed its 2008 Bombardier Global 5000 for sale with an asking price of $10.5 million. The aircraft, which was refurbished in late 2023, features seating for 13 passengers, a conference area and Starlink internet. According to the listing, WWE branding will be removed before the sale is completed, with the company having since replaced the jet.
Speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross said having access to the aircraft made life on the road significantly easier during his time with WWE.
“Oh yeah, a bunch of times. That was my way to work, way home. Getting that plane was a blessing for a lot of us that had schedules. We’d do TV on Tuesday night and record SmackDown, then my goal is to get on that airplane on Tuesday night after SmackDown, get home and sleep in my bed for a few minutes, it seems like, and then carry on.”
Ross added that helping employees travel more comfortably is something every company should prioritise.
“It made travel better and easier, and anything you can do for talent or staff, helping them with their travel, do it.”

The WWE Hall of Famer was also asked about Vince McMahon‘s habits while travelling on the jet. Jim Ross said there was nothing particularly unusual, although he recalled the former WWE Chairman occasionally breaking into dance when one of his favourite songs came on.
“He’d turn the sound up, and there’d be a song he would like, and he might just start dancing. I didn’t say it was normal. You asked, I answered.”
Ross also identified McMahon’s regular seat on the aircraft and recalled travelling alongside Bruce Prichard, longtime WWE director Kerwin Silfies, company staff and talent working production duties during television tapings.
While Ross will be travelling to Minneapolis for SummerSlam weekend, he joked that he would not be making the trip aboard WWE’s private jet.
“I’m getting ready to go to Minneapolis for an appearance coming up soon, and I’m looking forward to that. But I’m not going to ride one of these. I’m going to ride on a Delta. I’m not complaining either.”
