Jesse Ventura has made a bold claim regarding the 2024 assassination attempt on U.S. President Donald Trump, while also criticising his place in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the WWE Hall of Famer addressed multiple topics, but drew particular attention for his remarks about the 2024 shooting incident. When asked about Donald Trump’s actions on the day, Jesse Ventura responded by referencing a well-known wrestling term.
“Oh yeah… you ever hear of a blade job?” Ventura said.
Pressed further on whether he was suggesting the incident had been staged, Ventura questioned the lack of visible long-term effects.
“I don’t know. Where’s his scar today?” he added.
Jesse Ventura Doesn’t Think Donald Trump Earned His WWE Hall Of Fame Induction
Jesse Ventura’s comments formed part of a wider critique of President Donald Trump, including his long-standing opposition to his WWE Hall of Fame induction. Ventura argued that Trump had not earned the honour, pointing to the lack of in-ring experience compared to career performers.
“Trump being a Hall of Famer is a tragedy,” Ventura said. “This guy has never been in the ring… Kenny Patera is not in the Hall of Fame. Donald Trump does not belong in the wrestling Hall of Fame. He never earned it.”
He also highlighted the physical demands traditionally associated with wrestling careers, suggesting those factors should define Hall of Fame credentials.
“At one point in my career, I wrestled 63 consecutive nights in a row. That’s how you get in the Hall of Fame.”
Ventura further challenged Trump to step into the ring, questioning whether he would be willing to compete despite his Hall of Fame status.
“If he wants it, he’s in the Hall of Fame. Let’s both get in the ring,” he said.
The interview also saw Ventura draw comparisons between his own military background and Trump’s, while hinting at future plans to confront him, though he declined to provide details. Ventura’s remarks have generated significant reaction, particularly his comments on the 2024 incident, which he stopped short of definitively explaining but clearly cast doubt on.
