Jeff Hardy has provided an update on his neck injury.
Jeff Hardy has shared a positive update on the neck injury that has been troubling him for the past several months. Earlier this month, Hardy revealed that he has been dealing with two bulging discs in his neck since The Hardys’ Broken Rules match against DarkState at NXT Halloween Havoc 2025. Despite the injury, he has continued to wrestle while managing the pain. Speaking on a recent episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Hardy explained that his condition has improved.
“It’s better,” Hardy said. “This past Monday and Tuesday, it felt really good. Then we flew out here and I fell asleep a little funky on the plane… so it was hurting a little more than it did Monday and Tuesday, but overall, man, it’s feeling good. It’s definitely better. So this has been a little over three months now. I’ve been dealing with two bulging discs on the left side of my neck.”
Hardy went on to describe how the injury occurred during the ladder match at Halloween Havoc.
“This happened when we dropped the titles at the NXT Halloween Havoc show,” he said. “It was one of those things, man. You couldn’t even tell. It looked completely fine… the idea was for me to go through the table, but I kind of overshot the table and he just broke the table and my head just hit the mat. And it was a little whiplash like that. It felt terrible. It definitely felt like a concussion and I was close to being knocked out.”
When asked to rate his current pain level on a scale of one to ten, Hardy said it sits at around a five, adding that it is “not bad at all.”
The timing of the injury proved difficult, as it came just ahead of TNA Impact’s premiere on AMC. Hardy said he was hoping to be fully healed by the debut episode, but instead worked through the issue in an eight-man tag match. By the following week, when he faced Mustafa Ali in singles action, he said the condition had already begun to improve.
Matt Hardy also addressed the situation, noting that the team has adjusted their style in the ring to protect his brother.
“We’ve also just been very cognizant of it,” Matt said. “It’s been protect Jeff at all costs… so we’ve done what we had to do to try and work smart and not make things worse in his issue, and so far so good.”
The Hardys are currently the TNA Tag Team Champions and re-signed with the company in December. Both brothers told Van Vliet that retirement is not on their minds, and they intend to keep wrestling for as long as their bodies allow.
How Long Has Jeff Hardy Been With TNA?
Jeff Hardy first joined TNA Wrestling in 2004 and quickly became one of the promotion’s biggest crossover stars. He has worked multiple runs with the company over the past two decades, including championship reigns and major storylines, before returning again with brother Matt in 2024.
