Jay White is facing another spell on the sidelines after suffering an undisclosed injury that could keep him out of action for up to two months.
Jay White was noticeably absent from the October 3 episode of AEW Collision as his Bang Bang Gang stablemates competed against the Death Riders in a trios match. During the Bang Bang Gang’s entrance, AEW commentator Tony Schiavone announced that White had suffered an injury and was expected to be sidelined for up to two months. AEW has not disclosed the injury’s nature.
White reportedly suffered the setback during the Collision Saturday Tailgate Brawl ahead of AEW All Out on September 26. The Bang Bang Gang faced The Dogs and Death Riders in an eight-man tag team match.
Despite the injury, White appeared on the September 30 episode of Dynamite, dedicated to PAC following his death at age 40. White recorded a tribute discussing how much he and the rest of the AEW locker room would miss Benjamin Satterley.
Jay White Suffers Another Injury Setback
The latest injury comes just three months after Jay White returned to AEW at Forbidden Door in June following a lengthy absence. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion had previously spent approximately 15 months out of action after suffering a hand injury that required surgery.
As a result, White was forced to withdraw from the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Reports also said he was rehabilitating a shoulder injury during his time away, which contributed to the length of his absence.
That followed another injury setback in 2024. White was injured during that year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and subsequently missed AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. He returned to action in October 2024 and entered a programme with Hangman Adam Page. There is currently no confirmed date for White’s latest return to the ring.
