Former WWE and AEW star Jake Hager has responded after being knocked out in his latest appearance for Power Slap.
Jake Hager competed on the July 10 edition of Power Slap 21, facing former TNA wrestler Mahabali Shera in his second outing for Power Slap. The contest went the full three rounds before Shera secured a knockout victory.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio following the defeat, Hager admitted the result was not what he wanted but insisted he expected the risks that come with competing in the sport.
“Not at all,” Hager said when asked whether he was offended by online trolling. “I knew ahead of this, going into this, that it was knockout or get knocked out and that getting knocked out was gonna generate just as much as getting a knockout. Now, of course, that’s not the result I wanted but still, when you have a name like mine, and going into a sport like Power Slap, it is an advantage, and I will use it.”
Jake Hager’s Current Pro Wrestling Endeavours
Jake Hager last wrestled regularly for AEW before departing the promotion in 2024. He recently returned to the ring at World Wrestling Council’s Anniversary events in Puerto Rico, where he competed against John Hawking and Alberto El Patron.
