Jacob Fatu says he would support his daughters following in his footsteps and continuing the Anoa’i family wrestling legacy.
Speaking on a recent Club 520 podcast appearance, Jacob Fatu was asked whether his children had any interest in entering the business. The son of Sam Fatu and nephew of Rikishi and Umaga acknowledged that his perspective has changed compared to previous generations.
“I feel like the business is different now,” Fatu said. “If it was like how it was back then, I probably would say no… but I love that professional wrestling brings people together from different backgrounds.”
Fatu added that he has already seen signs of interest from his daughters, noting that they closely follow storylines despite him simply being “dad” at home.
“If that’s our time to really tap in with each other… I see it makes them happy,” he said.
While recognising the challenges of building a career in wrestling, Fatu made it clear he would fully support them if they chose that path.
“If they can make a living out of it, and if I can teach them, they’ve got the support,” he said. “You might see a female version of Jacob Fatu in the next couple of years.”
