Iyo Sky has shared an emotional message following the WWE departure of Kairi Sane.
Kairi Sane was among several releases made ahead of the April 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, with her exit coming as a surprise to many within the company. Breaking character, Iyo Sky took to social media to reflect on her long-time friend and former tag team partner, admitting she was struggling to process the news.
“I feel so heartbroken that it came at such an unexpected time,” Sky wrote.
She went on to praise Sane not only as a performer, but as a person, describing her as kind, funny and someone deeply respected by her peers. Sky also reflected on their shared journey in WWE, calling Sane a “comrade-in-arms” as they navigated their careers together in the United States.
“It’s so hard to accept that Kairi won’t be in the passenger seat of the rental car anymore,” she added.
Despite the shock of the departure, Sky expressed confidence in Sane’s future, pointing to her experience and talent as key factors in whatever comes next.
“I’m absolutely certain… her new journey will be something truly amazing,” she wrote.
Sky closed by reaffirming their bond, calling Sane her best friend and wishing her success moving forward.
