It has been reported that an issue with the opening segment on last night’s episode of WWE Raw caused the production team to “scramble”.
Last night’s episode of WWE Raw opened with CM Punk addressing the crowd after he won the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Punk was running through a list of potential challengers for his newly acquired title when Logan Paul interrupted and offered to challenge Punk for the title, but Punk refused.
While Paul was pleading his case to Punk for a title shot, The Vision, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, led by Paul Heyman, walked down the entrance ramp and prepared to launch an assault on Punk. Paul was offered the opportunity to leave the ring or stand and fight with Punk, and initially, he chose to leave, but was shoved to the ground by Breakker after he got out of the ring.
Paul then decided to get back into the ring and attempt to save Punk, only to also be beaten down by Breakker and Reed.
Why Did This Segment Cause The WWE Raw Production Team To “Scramble”?
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, reported that the opening segment on last night’s WWE Raw went ten minutes longer than what it had been allocated, and this caused the production team to “scramble” to make up lost time by cutting time from various matches throughout the rest of the show.
