An injured WWE star has provided an update after undergoing surgery, offering some optimism following a recent setback.
Elio LeFleur confirmed that he has successfully undergone arm surgery after suffering ligament damage and a torn labrum during a WWE NXT live event last month. The injury occurred during a multi-man tag team match that also involved Lexis King, son of the late Brian Pillman, who also suffered an injury, though Lefleur was the one who suffered the more serious damage. The setback forced him to vacate the WWE Men’s Speed Championship, which he had only recently won in February.
Posting on social media, Lefleur shared a photo from the hospital following the procedure, confirming the surgery was successful and signalling that his recovery is now underway. Lefleur previously stated he expects to be out of action for around six months, which would place a potential return later this year, depending on how his rehabilitation progresses.
Elio LeFleur Was Forced To Vacate The WWE Men’s Speed Title Due To Injury
In his absence, WWE NXT has already begun moving forward, with a tournament set to crown a new Men’s Speed Champion in the coming weeks, as LeFleur was forced to vacate the title he won on the February 24 episode of NXT due to his injury.
Despite the setback, Lefleur’s latest update suggests he is firmly focused on recovery as he works towards a return to the ring.
