A WWE star is expected to return as soon as January 5th after six months on the shelf.
On the June 23rd edition of Raw, Chad Gable was attacked by Penta, with the Mexican star dropping Gable with a superkick and snapping his arm back before the pair were separated by officials. It was later reported that the segment was meant to write Gable off WWE TV, as he had suffered a legitimate rotator cuff injury earlier that month and required surgery.
Now, PWInsider has reported that some in WWE expect Gable to make his return as soon as the January 5th episode of Raw, which will mark the first anniversary of the Red Brand’s debut on Netflix. It has also been noted that Gable has recently been spotted training at the WWE Performance Centre.
At the time of his injury, Gable had also been doubling as El Grande Americano. His last match saw Americano defeat Berto to retain the Speed Championship on June 18th. In Gable’s absence, Ludwig Kaiser has taken up the mantle of Americano.

Another WWE Star Returned To Action On Raw
Chad Gable isn’t the only star to be returning from injury, as Penta made his comeback on the December 29th edition of Raw. The star had been out of action since late November after landing awkwardly on his shoulder during a bout against Solo Sikoa in the Last Time Is Now tournament. On his return, Penta rescued Rey Mysterio from a beatdown by Logan Paul and Austin Theory.
