Leah Van Dale, formerly known in the WWE as Carmella, is done with pro wrestling.
Van Dale discussed her situation with her guest Laura Clery on her podcast.
In speaking about how she met her husband, WWE commentator Corey Graves, Van Dale said: “Luckily, I’m retired now, so it’s definitely a little bit different, but yeah, we met at work.”
Van Dale is comfortable with her current role as a mom to two young children now.
“I was a professional wrestler so I can’t wrestle anymore. I’m a mom. I have kids. So that’s kind of I’m retired,” she said.
She explained that her children are not old enough yet to understand everyone’s roles.
“My two-year-old does not understand because my husband travels so much for work still. I’ll be like, ‘Okay, I have to go work.’ And he’s like, ‘But you’re going downstairs.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, but that’s mommy’s work.’ I know he doesn’t understand but it is funny,” she said.
Van Dale and Graves have two sons. One was born in 2023 and the other in 2025.
