In an update on the possible match between Bad Bunny and Logan Paul, it has been reported that the bout is unlikely to happen in the near future.
On 19 February, it was reported that WWE had reached out to Bad Bunny to gauge his interest in and availability for WrestleMania 42. The news came soon after Logan Paul’s reveal that there had been discussions for him to face the rap megastar.
Since then, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has said that the feeling in WWE is that the bout would be a tag team bout, and “probably not at WrestleMania.” Now, Dave Meltzer has added to this in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, saying that while the match is expected to happen “someday”, it won’t be any time soon.
“Regarding the talk of Bad Bunny against Logan Paul in a tag team match, we were told there is no match on the books between them right now, but the expectation is that it will happen someday, but it is not scheduled anytime in the near future.”
When Did Bad Bunny Last Wrestle In WWE?
Bad Bunny is well-known to be a wrestling fan and has made numerous appearances in WWE. In 2021, he went a step further, teaming up with Damian Priest at WrestleMania 37 to defeat John Morrison and The Miz on the Grandest Stage of Them All. The match impressed fans and critics alike, and led to the star taking part in the 2022 Royal Rumble, where he eliminated Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler (with a bit of help from Rey Mysterio).
Most recently, Bad Bunny took on Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight in home country of Puerto Rico at Backlash in 2023. The bout quickly descended into chaos with the LWO helping Bunny by fighting off The Judgment Day. Things came to an end when Bad Bunny landed a Destroyer on Priest after multiple chairshots for the pinfall victory.
