“Hangman” Adam Page will no longer be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship after losing to MJF in the main event of AEW Revolution.
MJF defeated Adam Page in a brutal Texas Death Match to retain the title on Sunday night, securing his sixth successful defence of the championship he won at December’s Worlds End. The bout, which took place on MJF’s birthday, featured a series of violent moments, including barbed wire, light tubes, broken glass, and other weapons.
The match escalated quickly, with both men trading increasingly brutal attacks. At one point, Page drove skewers into MJF’s head before landing a Buckshot Lariat that nearly ended the contest. Later, Page introduced a double dog collar chain in a callback to MJF’s previous feud with CM Punk, using it to drag the champion toward the ring apron.
The action eventually spilled onto the stage, where Page tackled MJF through a table of electrical equipment that exploded on impact. Both men managed to beat the referee’s ten-count and return to the ring.
As Page attempted another Buckshot Lariat, MJF countered with a low blow before striking him with the AEW World Championship belt. The champion then choked Page across the top rope, preventing him from answering the count and ending the match.
After the bout, Page was placed on a stretcher, but MJF climbed onto it and stood over his fallen opponent to close the show.
Adam Page Joins Cody Rhodes As The Two Men Unable To Ever Challenge For The AEW World Title Again
Because Adam Page agreed to the stipulation that he would never challenge for the AEW World Championship again if he lost, he now joins Cody Rhodes as the only two wrestlers in company history barred from future title shots under that condition.
The victory also marked MJF’s first win over Page in four meetings between the two.
Page previously held the AEW World Championship twice, first winning the title from Kenny Omega at Full Gear 2021 before losing it to CM Punk at Double or Nothing 2022. His second reign ran from All In Texas in July 2025 until Full Gear later that year.
