A WWE Hall of Famer has admitted they are surprised LA Knight has yet to receive a sustained run at the top of the company, but remains hopeful that a major push is still on the horizon.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T responded to a fan question about Knight’s position in WWE, admitting he cannot pinpoint why the former United States Champion has not broken into the main event scene.
“It’s hard for me to put a finger on what’s going on with LA Knight,” Booker said. “He’s been a guy that they would have put a trigger on.”
Booker also acknowledged that time is becoming a factor for the veteran star, noting that opportunities do not last forever.
“We’re just talking about expiration dates. Expiration date’s gonna run out on him,” he said.
Booker T Believes WWE Is Still Moving Forward With An LA Knight Push
Despite those concerns, Booker believes WWE could still be building towards a major moment for Knight.
“Maybe it’s gonna be one of those shocking moments, you know, that people go, ‘Man, finally,’ when he does cash in,” Booker said. “I’m hoping for LA Knight to get his shine, get his big push.”
LA Knight has remained one of WWE’s most popular stars over the past two years, but has yet to capture a world championship despite consistently receiving strong reactions from fans.
