A WWE Hall of Famer may have inadvertently revealed when fans can expect to get their hands on WWE 2K26.
While 2K Games has already confirmed that this year’s release will feature an Attitude Era Edition and a Monday Night War Edition, an official launch date has yet to be announced. However, a social media post from Alundra Blayze appears to have provided a strong hint. Responding to a teaser trailer on Twitter, the former WWE Women’s Champion, known to WCW fans as Madusa, suggested the game will follow the franchise’s traditional spring release window.
“Well, look at this! I’m excited for this,” Blayze wrote. “However, I think they should’ve had my face on there and not Bischoff’s. I mean, then there’s a woman on both sides. I’m having fun, people… I believe pre-orders start at the end of January and an official launch around March. Thank you for the opportunity. Can’t wait to see what they have inside.”
If accurate, Blayze’s comments indicate that 2K is once again targeting a March launch, consistent with previous entries in the series. Last year’s game was released on March 14 across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms, aligning closely with the build-up to WrestleMania season.
A similar timeline for WWE 2K26 would maximise exposure during WWE’s busiest period of the year. Should pre-orders begin at the end of January, as Blayze suggested, an official announcement from 2K could be imminent.
What Features Will Be In WWE 2K26?
Beyond the potential release window, speculation continues over the game’s content. Earlier reports indicated that Showcase Mode is expected to return, with CM Punk rumoured to be the central focus.
