Gunther has commented on his upcoming return, saying The Ring General is back on duty.
Gunther last appeared in WWE back in August at SummerSlam. At the event, the Austrian star lost the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk, cutting his second reign short at 54 days.
On the November 10th edition of Raw, Adam Pearce announced that Gunther would finally make his return on November 17th as part of the Last Time Is Now tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent. In a first-round match, Gunther will face off with Je’Von Evans.
Ahead of Raw, The Ring General has commented on his comeback on social media, declaring that he’s back to raise the quality in WWE.
“The Ring General is back on duty to raise the quality in WWE. I’ve had a bit of a break, fixed my nose and now I’m here in the beautiful Switzerland at the airport in Zurich, I’m about to head to New York City.
“There couldn’t be better timing to come back and participate in the tournament that will determine John Cena’s final opponent at the Madison Square Garden in one of my absolute favorite arenas. I’m looking forward to it, I’m back again”.
