A moment meant to mark the end of Goldberg‘s legendary career has instead reignited frustration, with the WWE Hall of Famer now speaking more openly than ever.
Goldberg has criticised WWE following his retirement send-off, addressing the controversial moment when his microphone was cut during his farewell speech. The comments came during a meet-and-greet on March 29, 2026, where a fan brought up the incident directly.
“You know what pissed me off? When WWE cut off your mic at your final match,” the fan said, prompting a blunt response from Goldberg. “Yeah! What do you think it did for me? It made me really happy. It shows what disrespect they have for me,” he replied.
The exchange quickly turned towards who may have been responsible for the decision, with the fan naming Triple H. Goldberg did little to dismiss the suggestion.
“Probably,” he said, before agreeing when the fan criticised Triple H further, adding, “100%.”
Despite the visible frustration, Goldberg insisted he is not dwelling on the situation, though he made it clear he expected more from the company at that moment.
“I ain’t worried about nothing. Could’ve shown a little respect,” he said.
Goldberg Has Alread Voiced His Dissapointment Over His Retirement Match
The remarks build on previous criticism of his retirement match against Gunther, in which Goldberg had already voiced disappointment with how his final appearance was handled. This latest exchange, however, sees that frustration directed more clearly at WWE leadership.
For Goldberg, the issue appears to extend beyond the match itself, focusing instead on how his career was brought to a close and whether the respect he believes he earned was fully reflected in that final moment.
