Women’s United States Champion Giulia was reportedly dealing with multiple aches and pains following her recent appearance on SmackDown.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, her trainer Matthew Ennis revealed that Giulia came into training “very banged up” after her match against Tiffany Stratton on the March 27 episode of SmackDown. According to Ennis, she was experiencing discomfort in several areas, including her lower back, knees, hips, and shoulders. As a result, her planned lower-body session was scrapped in favour of a modified workout focused on recovery.
“Instead of sticking to a rigid plan, we adapted on the fly… the goal was to have her walk out of the gym feeling better,” Ennis said.
He added that the adjusted session, which focused on mobility and activation, allowed Giulia to recover enough to resume more intensive training the following day. There is currently no indication of a specific injury that would impact Giulia going forward.
Giulia & Tiffany Stratton’s Ongoing Feud
Giulia defeated Stratton in their non-title match on SmackDown, capitalising on a distraction from Kiana James before countering a moonsault attempt into a cradle for the win.
It remains unclear whether the rivalry between Giulia and Stratton will continue into WrestleMania 42. Stratton recently addressed speculation about a potential match, noting she has not been told she is part of the event.
