TNA legend Gail Kim believes Bayley would have been a perfect fit for the original Knockouts division.
The seven-time TNA Knockouts World Champion recently shared her thoughts after Bayley expressed interest in potentially working outside WWE, specifically mentioning TNA and AAA as promotions she would like to explore.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bayley discussed the evolving landscape of professional wrestling and said she would welcome the opportunity to compete in other companies if the door was open.
“You don’t want to just be one thing,” Bayley said. “There are so many promotions. When you have guys like AJ Styles, Sami Zayn or Finn Balor, they’ve all been to these places. I feel like it’s important to mention the past and these things. I would love to dip my toes in TNA and AAA. If we have the doors to do that, I would love to go.”
Gail Kim’s Response To Bayley’s TNA Interest
Gail Kim responded to the comments on social media, praising Bayley’s versatility and saying she would have fit seamlessly into the early days of the Knockouts division.
“Bayley is a timeless wrestler,” Kim wrote. “She would fit into any division in any generation, especially our OG KO division. Oh, and what an awesome human, too.”
Bayley recently competed in a Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Nattie and Asuka but was unsuccessful in securing a spot in the bout.
However, she rebounded on the March 9 episode of WWE Raw, winning a gauntlet match to become the number one contender to AJ Lee’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 42.
