Squared circle trailblazer, Gail Kim, has revealed that John Laurinaitis made inappropriate comments to her in the past.
John Laurinaitis, the former Head of Talent Relations in WWE, is part of the Vince McMahon lawsuit filed by Janel Grant and has been accused of sexual assault. In one part of her filing Grant accuses McMahon of forcing her into threesomes and one was with Laurinaitis at WWE headquarters.
Last May, Laurinaitis has reached a settlement with Grant and her team. As part of that agreement, Laurinaitis will be providing Janel Grant’s team with evidence against McMahon.
“His agreement to a confidential settlement is a pivotal next step toward holding McMahon and WWE accountable and bringing justice to Ms. Grant after years of sexual abuse and trafficking,” Grant’s team told NBC News.
Laurinaitis lawyer stated at the time: “Mr. Laurinaitis looks forward to moving on with his life. We cannot provide any additional details at this time.”
In a back and forth on X, Kim accused Laurinaitis of inappropriate behaviour towards her.
“Well don’t know if he thought that or not, but he did inappropriately say that to me yes that he thought I was. And no, I wouldn’t be mad. I’m actually glad if they all thought I wasn’t. Maybe lost opportunities but also no awkward propositions. What are you mad about Lisa?” she wrote.
Kim had commented earlier that an announced Laurinaitis autograph session was “ballsy”.
Laurinaitis will be appearing at a Big Time Wrestling event on March 14 in Ohio.
Kim is currently in a legal wrangle of her own. Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions is suing Gail Kim. Anthem owns TNA Wrestling. The lawsuit claims Kim insists she was illegally fired in retaliation for whistleblowing.
