On night 16 of the G1 Climax tournament and the final night of A Block competition we had a number of pointless matches as both challengers had be eliminated but a big main event that would decided who would move on and who would go home empty-handed.
It was a crushing end for Boltin Oleg’s G1 Climax tournament as he faced The Great-O-Khan who was already mathematically eliminated. Khan played his spoiler role very well. Khan chokeslammed Oleg off the apron through a table below. Khan managed to slide back into the ring but Oleg never does and because of that, he is also eliminated from the tournament while Yota Tsuji makes it through to the semi-finals.
In the main event, Konosuke Takeshita and Ryohei Oiwa battled for a spot in the semi-finals. Takeshita kicked out of Chaos Theory stunning the crowd. Oiwa locked on his crushing headlock. Takeshita made it back to his feet but Oiwa put him in the Big Lock submission. Takeshita escapes again only to bounce off the ropes right back into the Big Lock. A running lariat finally pins Takeshita.
A Block has ended with Ryohei Oiwa and Yota Tsuji as the semi-finalists. The finalists of B Block will be decided tomorrow.

A Block – Shingo Takagi versus SANADA
Both men are mathematically eliminated
I wish they would just put Sanada as a solo talent, who perhaps focuses on technique and skill. Takagi drops Sanada with a Last of the Dragon and for for reason attempts a Pumping Bomber instead of a pin. Sanada turns that into a bridging pin.
Winner: SANADA
A Block – Hirooki Goto versus Yuto-Ice
Both men are mathematically eliminated
Another match that will not influence the tournament in any way.
Goto and Ice exchange punches. As Ice goes for his running knee Goto drop kicks him in the knee rolling him up.

A Block – Boltin Oleg versus The Great-O-Khan
Khan is mathematically eliminated

A Block – Yota Tsuji versus Jake Lee
Lee is mathematically eliminated
Part way through the match, Lee pulls out from face paint and paints a Joker’s smile on Tsuji. Tsuji dodges Lee’s big foot. He Gene Blasts him right into a corner.
