A former WWE head writer has claimed that Paul “Triple H” Levesque is “not qualified” to lead the company’s creative team.
Former WWE head writer Vince Russoposted on Twitter yesterday, stating that he believes TKO should replace Triple H as the head of creative, as he thinks he is “not qualified for the job”. Russo wrote:
“If there aren’t talks right now within TKO to replace the entire Old Guard heading @WWE Creative—then they deserve everything that is coming their way.
This is not personal against H, he is just not qualified for the job. I’m not even sure that he understands WHAT a storyline even is with his current comments.”
The “current comments” that Russo mentioned are likely referencing The Game’s recent appearance on the All-In Podcast, where he said that WWE don’t write a show thinking about what would make a great match, but rather focuses on building a storyline.
When Did Triple H Become WWE’s CCO?
Triple H became the WWE’s Chief Content Officer in September 2022, after he was made head of creative in July 2022 when Vince McMahon retired and left the company. However, McMahon’s retirement was short-lived, as he returned in January 2023 and led the company’s sale to Endeavor, which merged the company with UFC to form the company TKO Group Holdings.
