A former WWE and TNA Women’s Champion has penned a new five-year deal with the WWE.
Fightful Select has reported that Chelsea Green has signed a new deal with WWE, as her current three-year contract that she signed in 2022 was set to come to an end soon. Apparently, the contract was finalised back in January, as both parties were eager to keep Green with the company. It has been confirmed that Green’s new deal will see her stay with WWE well into 2030.
Green has been a major player in the company’s women’s division, as she has held the Women’s United States Championship and the Women’s Tag Team Championship. She was also the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, winning the 2024 tournament to crown the first champion by defeating Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport in a Triple Threat first round match, defeating Bayley in the semifinals, and finally defeating Michin at the December 14 Saturday Night’s Main Event to become the first title holder.
Besides Her WWE Titles, What Other Titles Has Chelsea Green Held?
Prior to her WWE days, Chelsea Green started her career on the independent circuit, making her debut in 2014 and quickly becoming a top draw for those promotions and became the All-Star Wrestling’s Women’s Champion in 2015. Green then signed for TNA in 2016, and after just under two years with the promotion, she captured the Knockouts Title by defeating Rosemary in a tournament for the vacated championship.
Green left TNA in 2018 and was signed by WWE, making her debut in NXT before moving to the main roster in 2020. However, she was released in 2021 and returned to TNA, but only spent a year there before she rejoined World Wrestling Entertainment and has gone on to have a much more successful second run with the company.
